Forellenhof-Waldhölzbach

The Forellenhof is located on the Hauptstr.Through Waldhölzbach opposite the church.A few hiking trails pass nearby.There are approx. 5 parking spaces directly on the house (side of the street).Next to the house is a larger paved area with space for several vehicles.Parking spaces were sufficient at all times.The landlord couple was friendly and calm.At the door is a sign with a telephone number that should be called on arrival.A cell phone would not be a disadvantage.My room was relatively large for a single room and was simply furnished.The bed was nice and wide.There was also a closet, a table (quite low) and 2 chairs.The shower worked well.The sink was big enough.There were enough storage space for care products.There was a hair dryer in the entrance area of ​​the pension (possibly for the people who didn't have anyone with them).In addition to the bed on the wall, there are 2 adjustable reading lamps that shine really brightly.Internet worked great (fast + only one -time registration).Access to the breakfast room is on the back.Classic breakfast (coffee, rolls, butter, sausage, cheese, honey, jam, Nutella, egg, tomato, yogurt) was served.From the breakfast room you have a nice view of the garden (with tables and chairs / pond).

The things that were important to me were all okay.The table in the room was 20 cm too low.In the room there were 2 windows, of which you could only darken 1 window with a blind.

Quality of the food was good, the trout are caught fresh in which you are.Dining in the summer in the quiet garden in the quiet garden is very pleasant.

The waiter.He is not communicative, uninterested, not customer -friendly and if you ask something not solution -oriented.Defensifying the discussion with the guest, while he is not even accused.In the morning he stood smoking in the entrance of the hotel area, of course with the access door wide open.Due to the wind, his cigarette smoke is blown in the corridor and it starts to stink to cigarette smoke in our bedroom.Very thoughtless.And unnecessarily detracts from the otherwise pleasant stay.

For my needs (overnight after hike) but everything ok.Everything was clean, breakfast was good, dinner top, fresh trout for catch !!!!!Personal very friendly.Great location, dream loop "Felsenweg" starts+ends practically at the accommodation, various other hiking routes nearby, Losheim am See approx. 15 km, Mettlach with Saarschleife and tree top path approx. 25 km, Saarburg about 25 km.

House and interior (except for the bed, that was new) get old, e.g. dining room has the charm of the 80s.Reading lamp disappeared from the bed behind the high headboard, darkening roller blinds were smaller than the window, so very early in the room.

It's such a cute little village, away from everything else. The owner was very friendly and they have a sweet garden with fish. breakfast was also really nice and wholesome.

the wifi was rather slow and I wish the door/locks were a bit more robust( not sure about other rooms but at least for the one we stayed in) . I think I could break the door if I accidentally pushed it too hard. The beds are also a bit old and probably past their due date. Again these are small niggles I rate the property 9/10

Nice beer garden with small ponds and trees behind the house.Friendly boss.Located directly on the Saar-Hunsrück-Steig.In terms of price for the area.Breakfast good and sufficient.

Unfortunately, the restaurant had closed due to an illness.The recommended pizza service comes to the beer garden.There are drinks on site.Room quite small, narrow single bed.The object is getting a bit old.

The furniture is a bit old -fashioned, but had a certain charm.A fantastic breakfast and the food in the restaurant was a dream.The trout was the hit.The hosts are very nice and courteous and my dogs were welcome.I plan a little hiking vacation and will be happy to "stop" there again

The good food in the restaurant is often praised in the recessions.Unfortunately, it is not clear when the restaurant is open.But I got a very delicious trout on request as a house guest.

The room (No. 8) is too expensive at € 100.(Small, the bed relatively small, part of the window could not be darkened, the stool cushion stained) the surroundings, landscape and also very nice around the house.Breakfast OK, muesli and ham would have upgraded it.

The price, a little cheaper you would understand more.

In a very nice hiking -friendly area we were located directly on the stream and forest edge.The morning breakfast was plentiful and very good.We also ate well and pleasantly in the garden in the evening - including a delicious trout.
