Lovely, comfortable room in a beautiful traditional house, with smart TV so could watch catch-up or Netflix etc. Fantastic walk in power shower. Salon quality hairdryer with long cord that reached to the full length mirror that was bathed in natural light (no need to hold button or pull taut a curly cable whilst trying to peer at yourself in a dimly lit room! . A pet hate of mine in hotels) The breakfast was really hot and delicious with quality ingredients served by a friendly waitress. There was plenty of parking. (We got parked even after arriving late afternoon) The location is excellent for the village but also for the surrounding area.It is on the main road through Bakewell but we didn't hear any traffic noise. It was about a 30 mins drive to Blue John Cavern and only 15 mins to Chatsworth House and a similar distance to Ashford in the Water. Would definitely recommend and use again if in the area.

Wonderful stay. We arrived in time for on site check in which was simple and straight forward. The gentleman that met us was lovely and friendly and explained everything (to be fair wasn’t a lot to explain which suited us) The room was massive and done to a high spec. Everything about it was really top notch. Amazing big shower room. Bed was sooooo comfy. Lovely breakfast the next morning served by a happy and polite member of staff. On site free parking and 5 min walk to centre of Bakewell. Honestly, couldn’t fault anything about this place and if in the area again would definitely stay here. Highly recommended!!

More variety at Breakfast perhaps Fruit/yoghurt available with cereals, quite a long wait for the cooked breakfast to be served, toast given but was cold by the time breakfast came, so perhaps toast could be brought out with the cooked breakfast and possibly in a small toast rack as opposed to one slice each. Would be nice to have beans too with breakfast and marmalade for the toast.

We really couldn’t find fault with anything other than a mix up with check in time. We arrived at 14 according to email information and apparently should have been 15hr but we were accommodated in the lounge.

Good sized room, excellent shower, great welcome pack for hot drink and biscuits. Breakfast was fabulous and filling.

I missed entry details for the hotel in the booking.com email as they were contained at the very bottom of a long email.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast many choices and delicious. Spotless clean. Beautiful old house. Can walk everywhere in town. Loved it!!!

car park was not big enough when fully booked, but could find an ample public car park just 2 minutes walk away which cost only GBP1 overnight. So not a big problem,

The bed was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever stayed in and the bathroom was high standard. We were very pleasantly surprised as we typically would prefer a hotel but staying here has changed my mind.

The house is on the main road, the noise was really really bad even with the windows closed.
