Bakewell Riverview

Location was excellent.A 5 minute walk & your in Bakewell. We couldn't check in till 4,as the cleaners were preparing the property for our stay.But that wasn't an issue.There's a car parking space allocated to the apartment, which is great as Bakewell can get very busy. I had an issue with the key code.But the owner answered straight when I phoned him.The welcome pack gives everything you need.I realised I was inputting the wrong code ? The apartment is spotless. I did read an old review that stated blankets could have been provided. Certainly not in the case for us. Bathroom has a large walk in shower & an oval bath. Underfloor heating & spotlessly clean. Washing machine, dishwasher, everything you need. The apartment has a lovely view of the river. We would sit & watch the ducks & swans go by ?Never once did we put the TV on. It was an extra special weekend as it was my birthday & the first time we've been away on our own since our daughter was born. It was a lovely relaxing weekend. We only live about an hour away,some may ask 'Why somewhere so close, to have a weekend away'. We answer 'why not' That was the whole point of the weekend. To relax, take it easy. CHILL. The apartment offered everything we wanted. Bakewell is very dog friendly ?.Nearly all the pubs, cafes allow dogs.We don't have a dog, but that didn't put us of from going for a drink/something to eat.

This isn't a negative. But if you decide to go out to any of the restaurants some of the pubs for an evening meal make sure you book before you arrive. This will avoid disappointment We would love to return with our daughter, but it's only sleeps 2. This could easily be solved by having a sofa bed in the living room. It's big enough,there is enough space for 1

Excellent location. Very clean and spacious. Lots of kitchen cupboard space. Comfortable bed. It's good to sit and relax during the evening or day, looking at the river and listening to the birds. Lots of places to eat. Fantastic location.

For some reason the shower does not empty quick enough so you have to stop the shower for fear it will overflow and wait for the water to go down a little. I would like to have had a spray to clean down with. As a note, some of the doors could do with refitting as they stick or are awkward to shut. Despite these things it was a good place and we would use it again.

The arrival instructions were easy to follow and included how to enter the apartment, parking and recommendations. Host was really helpful and left us some tea bags, milk and a bottle of Prosecco! We tried out a lot of the recommendations which were fab. Lots of lovely walks nearby too! Parking was free and included which is amazing in Bakewell as there is limited parking or it can become costly!

Having some oil, salt and pepper in the apartment for cooking would have been helpful rather than buying a full set ourselves but this was not essential!

Beautiful location by the river and fabulous view out of the windows in the living room, very comfortable beds meant a good nights sleep. Loved the bathroom and underfloor heating.

It took us a while to figure out the heating, due to the extreme overnight temperatures we really needed it on. Living room could have been more cozy with rugs and throws (which would have meant the heating issue wouldn’t have been a problem so much) Bathroom floor was a bit dirty but nothing major.

Great location and position of apartment with views of the river. Extremely close to pubs and shops. Very stylish accommodation and nice touch of prosecco and milk in the fridge. Owner easy to contact and very helpful.

Situated next to a pub and beer garden but luckily it was a rainy Sunday afternoon, so we were able to enjoy the view of the river and numerous ducks swimming all to ourselves.

Location is ideal for Bakewell and the parking a plus. The accommodation was very clean and the host provided comprehensive instructions and helpful advice about the area

Although the apartment was very clean it felt a little clinical for our own personal taste and a more cosy feel to the lounge area could be considered maybe with the addition of rugs, pictures etc.

How lovely to sit with a morning coffee and watch the birds and squirrels - plus, because of the excellent design, turn the lights off at night and chill whilst looking up at the stars. Gorgeous, comfortable appartment, handy for the town, eateries, accessing the Monsal trail plus other local attractions. Clear instructions from a welcoming host. Fab ?

The location was excellent. The view of the river was lovely and relaxing. Perfect getaway but easy to get to town as well. Parking was a bonus in this central location. The Woodyard restaurant next door did amazing food and cocktails

The apartment was lovely but needed a chest of drawers and a mirror in the bedroom other than that it's great.

An immaculate apartment in a great setting in the centre of Bakewell, with free parking. Despite the central location it was very quiet at night as it's on a no-through-road. We loved everything about this place. Comfortable bed and sofa, great shower, and we spent ages watching the ducks outside on the river.

View over river and proximity to shops was great.

Lack of mugs/ plates/ cutlery. Would expect there to be 8 place settings- sorry 2 mugs was very poor! This has been flagged by others and not addressed. Car park space could be swept free of mud and bushes clipped back.

Amazing location, Central yet quiet, the views to the river were gorgeous. Very modern apartment with very spacious living room.

Probably the quality of the mattress could be better. However Bedding was very good. Real feather pillows and duvet

Great central location and view of the river. Bedroom view not so good, looking over the Pub bins. Spacious and comfortable. Lovely break.

Bedroom view. Kitchen had almost no oven dishes or trays so could not use it to cook evening meal.

Lovely apartment very central and loved having a car space.Great views onto the river with all the wildlife.Loved the bath and the big bed was so comfortable..Nice bottle of prosseco thankyou.Really enjoyed out stay.

Lovely property in an excellent location. Very clean and spacious.

Property was a bit cold in the evening. Was probably due to the fact that i couldn't work out how to operate the system to provide more heat. Relaxing

windows restricted views of the river. bedroom overlocked bins. lounge overlooked pub garden. noise of rain on roof windows drown out tv. nowhere to hang coats or dry clothes or shoes.

The lovely views , it was modern and clean. The location was fantastic and so convenient to get into Bakewell as it was so close to the center,at the same time was very peaceful.

Really clean and fantastic location. Situated right on the river.

The bed was a little uncomfortable however it’s tolerable. (I am 33 weeks pregnant so that might be more a personal preference)

Very comfortable apartment, with a lovely view of the river, easy pedestrian access to town & a great pub for dinner next door

You can co stay my hear the base/music from the Pub next door Wi-Fi kept dropping but that sometimes can’t be helped.
