Welcoming staff. Great location. Impressively designed public areas and decor which felt much higher spec than most budget hotels. Good range of continental breakfast choices. Nice touch that the room cleaning staff leave you a little note stating who cleaned your room in case you have any issues

I upgraded to an ‘historical’ room, but I couldn’t work out what warranted the extra money, as the room was virtually the same as the standard king room I’d had on my first visit. No old character features, the room was entirely new roof extension. As the room was in the roof it was very hot, which the air recycling system (rather than aircon) couldn’t cool. When I queried the room I was told that ‘historical’ just means it’s on the older side of the building it doesn’t mean that the rooms have any old character to them. I think this is very misleading and I would say don’t waste your money on a so called ‘upgrade’ when it clearly isn’t

Given the emphasis on design in the public areas of the hotel the rooms themselves come across as a little unimaginative, but they were in keeping with my expectations of other budget hotels. One improvement would be the addition of a mesh curtain to provide some privacy without having to draw the curtains given the overlooking from other rooms. A proper cup rather than paper cups would also be better for tea and coffee..

Location is good. Lobby is stunning. The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. There was a nice message left on the bed to congratulate us on our wedding anniversary. This was a very nice touch.

Our room was not like the room on pictures. It was a bit small and it lacked some basic amenities such as an iron. It was if they made a room under a stair case . The windom was very small and high up so I could barely see out of it. The ergonomics of the room could also have been better as the desk was right next to the toilet and you couldnt see the tv from there.

Comfy bed, pillows & linens & decent blackout & AC. Nice shower & products. Location was great for what I needed. The outdoor patio space and lounge area is really nice, photos here don’t do it justice.

Sound proofing was non existent, the carpet was sticky in patches & the TV remote not intuitive to use. No water provided, no fridge in room. Always annoying when travelling solo that you end up paying the same rate as a couple would…if traveling with someone the value is great…traveling solo it’s expensive.

FABULOUS HOTEL AT A FABULOUS PRICE - However it's a bit Fur coat and no knickers :-) Reception / Bar / Downtairs area are all brilliantly designed and spacious and the service it brilliant. Then you get to the room and it's fairly small square room with very little of the wow factor downstairs. IT is however clean comfortable and perfect for a one night stay ... but think Travelodge / premier inn instead of boutique hotel.

I loved most of it. The surroundings and decor was a joy. The staff was so friendly. The bed was nice and the room size fine. Nice little tea/coffee stand in the room. The Location was perfect. Felt safe being there alone!

My room was quite cold with no way to turn up the heat, but I asked for an ekstra blanket and got it right away My view was to a backyard and pipes and trash, but that was ok, I got at nice deal

Noise from late night/ early morning, poor sound insulation around the doors. Fire alarm at 7.20 am, lack of communication from staff, no offer of free coffee/tea, felt like there was no grip on the situation, one poor member of staff delegated to keeping people from helping themselves to the breakfast buffet. Nearest parking 5 minutes away.

Could not get the TV working. Said no signal. Bit frustrating. But it was late so I did not call Reception (stayed only 1 night). No covered area outside to smoke. Its a shame, because it rained and all the lovely furniture and cushions got all wet in the courtyard along with the smokers. Partial covered area would be great.

Modest but clean and comfortable size room and beautiful bathroom good breakfast (although cold only, no bacon or hot dishes) super comfortable lounge 24 hours a day, good location next to the monument metro station

Cleanliness, comfort, modern equipment were great, as well as the extremely friendly and helpful staff.Only the selection at the breakfast buffet could be more rich for the price paid.

View from the room went on a sterile backyard (side street), and again and again loud clatter from garbage toning cover at night.

My room was slightly noisy with a constant hum from an air conditioning unit. I had a very dismal view overlooking the back of some restaurant kitchens and rubbish bins.

There was dirty finger marks on the light switch to the bathroom, which I cleaned myself with a face wipe and the ash trays in the court yard were over flowing. Just small things I didn't let it spoil my time.

Great hotel, friendly staff, excellent location. And super comfy matress and pillows. Great breakfast selection too. Our room lacked hanging space for clothes, but for an overnight stay or was fine.

Wonderful welcome, offer to store bicycles in the bedroom - Thank you - Nice room, light and airy, comfy bed. Breakfast was a well stocked buffet and good coffee. Location was perfect for us, closer to the station.

It was really hard to dry your hair after a shower. The PowerPoint near the mirror combined with a really short cord made it almost impossible.
