We've been staying at The Parkway for the past twenty years or so. With family nearby in Cwmbran, Pontypool and Newport, this hotel provides an excellent home from home. A fiftieth birthday in 2022 and many bookings for the Autumn Internationals and the Six Nations (ticket price being affordable!) over this time, we always look forward to visiting. The rogue chickens in the car park are always good value.The staff are helpful, attentive and know what to do if you have any concerns.

Firstly, the staff were probably the most pleasant and wlelcoming I have seen in a hotel for a long time. Every member always acknowledged you be it reception, bar or house keeping they really great. breakfast was good, and again the staff in the restaurant were so welcoming and nothing was too much trouble.
Bath towels were not very big, no air conditioning, though a decent quality fan was provided. Room service was only till 9pm, which may work for some but this weekend we could have done with it a bit later.

Fantastic Hotel! Upon arrival everyone was so friendly and welcoming, and especially to my little dog which was so lovely. We had the most wonderful spacious room, very dog friendly with bowls, bed and snacks. The welcome letter was brilliant! The hotel and our room was very clean, and had everything we needed! We had a very comfortable and peaceful sleep, unfortunately we couldn’t stay for breakfast, but the other food we had at hotel was marvellous! Would recommend, and stay again!

Breakfast was excellent. The friendly service and hospitality of the staff. We also organised a party in the evening and the service during the setting up of the room and serving the three course meal was excellent. All staff very polite when serving and catered for everyone’s needs.
We booked three rooms - the double room beds were really comfortable but the beds in the twin room were a bit lopsided so not so comfortable. Everything else in the twin room was very good.

Just one small thing.When we arrived back in the evening ,the room was stiflingly hot and the thermostat was showing 30 degrees. Fortunately the window opened and we kept it wide open for about an hour until the temperature came down.

Food was excellent. The pool and jacuzzi were amazing. We would definitely stay again and recommend to others.
My only comment would be that we were rushed through dinner. No sooner had we chosen our starter than it arrived. Then as soon as we had finished our starter, we were asked to go to the carvery counter. It would have been nice to have a break between courses.

Spa facilities extremely busy. Restaurant menu was lacking more popular options like a steak, chicken and vegetables. We were offered a £20 breakfast, but £30 was on our checkout bill, so make sure you check all charges.

The Staff at Reception n Housekeeping were exceptional. We experienced an issue with safe in our room and thus was dealt with very quickly.
Disappointed that restaurant was closed. Even though we were advised on reason why we did experience issue with bar menu n one member of staff. However, Housekeeping Manager sorted for us.

Provide 2 keys per room and have an option to allow the room key to access the leisure facilities. It was awkward having to hand in the key for a leisure fob if only one person using the leisure facilities
