Great location and very comfortable accommodation. Hosts very welcoming, pleasant and friendly.
Overall a lovely place to stay and we would certainly return however…..Carpets could do with a clean and some doormats and a shoe rack would be a good idea. The TV in the bedroom not working but not bothered enough to query it. Could do with some shelves and towel/clothes hooks in the en-suite shower room. No wardrobe in one room to hang anything up and the other room has no drawers. One teaspoon for tea and coffee between four guests in the rooms and at breakfast, odd! Breakfast fruit was strangely served frozen; other choice of jams and not just marmalade for toast would be nice plus a teaspoon to serve. A radio in the dining room at breakfast would be a nice touch as it felt very formal and perhaps a table cloth to save the polished table from anything hot being accidentally not placed on a coaster. Might be better and more practical to have the tea and coffee facilities in the lounge as it’s a bit dodgy carrying boiling hot drinks downstairs. A few biscuits too would be a nice touch. Hopefully this is noted as constructive critique as it’s otherwise a very pleasant stay and we would certainly recommend it.

Lovely hosts. You are able to walk into Bakewell itself and not have to take the car. Loved the log burner. Aldi is close by. Breakfast was lovely, although a bit stingy on the toast, two slices cut in half for 4 people, had to ask for more.
Only a wardrobe in one of the two rooms and only bedside tables in one of the two rooms. Electric heater provided, but again only one. No hot water came out of the sink taps. Could have done with a curtain over the outside door as clear glass and can see into accommodation, bottom corner of the door rotten so let a draft in. Unfortunately there are no cooking facilities, but there would be plenty of room to add a kitchenette in the lounge area.

Great roomy accommodation, nice quiet location, comfortable beds . Hosts 10 out of 10 the place was very clean .
It has to be said there was snow on the ground, the host did get the log burner going in the lounges . The bedrooms and bathrooms were freezing the radiators were on when we first arrived about 7 pm but when we came in later 11ish they were stone cold . it-was so cold I went to sleep in my clothes . The next morning we couldn’t seem to get any hot water in the hand basins . Had we visited in summer we would have had a different view I think . .

The annex is a large, homely space. The living room is enormous but welcoming. The two double bedrooms are bright and airy, both with good en suite facilities. Andrew and Sarah were very accommodating and friendly hosts. We stayed for a local wedding and were unsure of our exact timings, and they were very flexible and understanding with us. Also, very helpful with local information. Whilst we did not have time to explore this time, the annex also had great views and provides good access to local walks. Would recommend:)

We arrived as a family of 4 and shared two bedrooms - us one, and the children a second room. Each room is very large, with a shower and toilet, a coffee corner and a small fridge. The house also has a living room with TV, games and a fun sitting area. and an exit to a garden immersed in nature and a fun outdoor sitting area. A lovely, spacious and cozy house with attention to the little details. Very clean and well equipped. Very friendly hosts who gave us a warm welcome.

Very spacious apartment with a lovely log burner. The owners were lovely and went out of their way to ensure our stay was enjoyable. Breakfasts are great. The location is good and the distance from the centre of Bakewell isn't that far and easily walkable ad long as the weather is fine.
Unfortunately, the weather during our stay wasn't great, which necessitated us driving in and out of Bakewell, and finding somewhere to park can be problematic.

The lounge was super comfortable and large with a fabulous garden. Walkable distance to Bakewell town. Bedrooms were also large and comfortable. Breakfast was wonderful - fresh produce. Fabulous fruit selection. Host very helpful and friendly - couldn't do enough for us. Advised on places to eat and visit. Really enjoyed our stay and will hope to return.
Can't think of anything to improve....well maybe the weather !!

Lots of space, quiet, great location for Bakewell, nice & warm, log burner
Nothing that we didn't like...however, the garden furniture wasn't out like it is on photo and although it was late April would still have liked to sit out with cuppa in the morning and listen to the birds and appreciate the lovely view across the countryside as we haven't got this at home. But the overall space for the property is great.

We enjoyed our breakfast it was very tasty. We both thought the location was excellent. Just a short walk into Bakewell town centre and Ashford in the water. Ideal location for Monsal trail and river walks.
No complaints hosts very welcoming and keen to help and advise us. There were no coat hangers in wardrobe but we managed and i'm sure we would have been given some if we had asked.

We didn’t book breakfast. The location was good. Our hosts were lovely and really tried to help with places to eat ets
Unfortunately, the accommodation was far from clean. It really would have raised the rating to an 8 if only the place had been cleaned. Also, a fridge in the bedrooms were promised, but one had stopped working and hadn’t been replaced.

The location was just right for us, the house was near some very nice eating places. We had a very nice meal at the Rutland Arms. We had a chance to sit in the garden, which was very peaceful. We had breakfast on the Sunday and it was lovely served by our host and hostess such lovely people. It was a pleasure to stay in their lovely home.

We liked most things but as 2 x couples a couple of things could be improved.
A second small wardrobe in the back bedroom would be good (with shelves). A slighlty larger fridge required. No TV in rear bedroom (that has reception) and finally a rear mat from the garden into the lounge would be a good idea. Apart from that - all OK

Great facilities for two couples each with own en-suite. Loved the lounge as well.
Tricky to manage in wet weather if walking in the area. We were worried about making the cream lounge carpet dirty. Would have been good to be able to put in walking shoes easily outside the property - perhaps a seat near the door would help?

Excellent place, in a great location for the Peak District. The Bedrooms & lounge were large, nicely furnished. Very comfortable & cosy. Sarah was a great host very helpful & friendly. The breakfast was exceptional. Really nice place with that personal touch.
Nothing at all.

A lovely place for a family in beautiful Bakewell. Walking distance to a craft beer brewery. Very quiet to calm down after the excursions of the day. We loved it and can warmly recommend. Superb breakfast served. Thank you very much to our hosts Sarah and Andrew

What a beautiful spacious living space to stay with friends overnight. It felt homely, warm and comfortable. The family who host the property could not have been kinder, nothing was too much trouble. Simply stunning.
Everything was fabulous.

Very good choice for a family - lots if space. Nice touches like board games, books of walks, flowers in bedrooms
Not a single coat hanger in either bedroom. Insufficient heating out of season

It was very comfortable and roomy. Even though we didn't use all the facilities like living room and garden. Lovely hosts. Lots of useful information and recommendations about the area.

Couldn't fault it.

It was lovely to have a communal area for us all to get together. Proper milk in a fridge was a bonus. Location was brilliant! Host’s communication was excellent. Can’t fault it!

Very friendly and helpful hosts, gave us great recommendations for a pub for an evening meal
Convenient spot if you have a car, would have been harder to visit Bakewell with out one

Very spacious and excellent location, with parking. Hosts went above and beyond in helping me navigate awful flooding which had stranded me in the area. Would highly recommend.

Really well presented and the host was very welcoming.
Nothing, the property was perfect for what we needed. The only thing you may want to consider is a blue tooth speaker.
Ian - 2023-09-22
Perfect location, hosts were very welcoming and gave good advice on where to visit.
Would of been nice to have a kitchen area for preparing own food
