The location was perfect for our needs to stop off to Glasgow. The welcome we received and the attention from all the staff. The dinner menu had a lovely choice of starters and main courses. Garlic bread wasn't on the menu but the staff happily prepared us some with fresh garlic not the bottle variety. Our visit from start to departing was totally warm, welcoming and a relaxing vibe. The room was cosy and warm. We enjoyed an excellent night's sleep.

What's not to like? Perfect stay we wish them all the best. Grand job, where service is getting hard to find these days much appreciated.

Breakfast was interesting ,I had the continental breakfast delivered in a cool box ,it was a different experience but pleasant never the less ,there was ample food ,fresh and in good condition ,and I did not have to rush to the dining room ,there was plenty of coffee and tea if I had wished in the room

no complaints the room was simple and modern ,very clean ,there was a sign on the basin saying the water could be slow ,it was fast enough ,the shower was brilliant (Aqualisa)plenty of pressure and warm

the hotel is lovely and would defiantly go back we arrived on the Friday night for a one night stay and there was a quiz in the lounge area with craig and it was great very welcoming and we had a ball

breakfast , it says breakfast included in price but they dont do breakfast till 10 am which is a bit of a niggle as we had to be on our way at 9 am for an appointment , they did supply a continental breakfast in a cool box but i do think they should offer breakfast from an earlier time

No complaints Room was clean and comfortable

Breakfast doesn't start until 10am which is enough to put us off going back As it is such a late start everyone arrives at the same time putting pressure on the kitchen with the result we waited 40 minutes for our food to arrive No offer of cereal either which would have helped to fill in the waiting time

Quiet village location Impressively clean

Dated style, room door locks seemed to make it difficult for guests to enter or leave quietly therefore you are awake from first guest leaving, 6/6.30am. After booking a note states breakfast FROM 10am, this could be a bonus or problem depending on your plans.

The property, itself, is lovely it is just a short train ride to the city but has a country feel. The staff were extremely helpful and pleasant. Craig was amazing. The food was great. The room was great. We would love to come back again someday.

I missed not being able to drink water out of the tap.

The staff at the hotel were super kind and it was a lovely relaxed place to be Great restaurant to eat in the evening as well

Our next door neighbours were a little bit noisy coming in and going out their room but it was not a big deal.

Nice ,clean , efficient friendly staff . Very helpful in all ways . Lovely bar with a great choice of drinks . We both had steak pie for dinner and it was braw!

Breakfast wasn’t served till 10am which is too late when you’ve got travelling to do. It’s more of a meals pub and not really one for the drinkers.

The staff were pleasant, helpful and informative. The location was perfect for a quiet getaway but close enough to major city's and tourist attractions

Could do with having a freshen up and carpets in corridor needed cleaned and vacuumed. No socket or usb port near beds for phone
